Educational qualifications needed for the post
- It must be noted that those candidates who are applying for the post of sub-inspector must have completed 10th /12th/bachelors degree from a recognized university plus they must also have worked for 4 to 6 years in Maharashtra police departments.
Criteria for age
- It is worthy to note that as on 1/7/2017 the applicants belonging to the unreserved category age must not be above 35 and for those belonging to a reserved category the age must not be above 40.
Process for selection
- The process involved in the selection of candidates consists of a written test followed by a physical efficiency test. It must be noted that the written examination for selection would be carried out in two stages namely preliminary examination consisting of 100 marks for one hour time and the main examination. The applicant depending on the marks got in the prelims would be then called for main exams and then the selected candidates would have to take the physical test. The selected persons for this post of sub-inspector would be paid salary of Rs 9300- Rs 34800 and they would also get grade pay of Rs 4300 every month.
